Are You Troubled?  Has Life Not Turned Out the Way You Planned?

Hebrews 12:2 (NIV) says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

My thirtieth birthday delivered a reality check to my doorstep.  I was disappointed, realizing that I had not achieved many of my life long goals.  Later, God revealed to me that my life was not my own.  I belong to Him and His dreams are much better than mine could ever be.  

Many tell us, if we work hard and believe, all our dreams will come true.  But what happens when they don't?  How do we handle the disappointment?

God summons His children to give Him their ambitions, goals and dreams.  He wants us to let Him be the driving force behind life's successes.  What brings Him glory will be fruitful for His kingdom and what does not, will wither.

He taught me that whether times are stormy or even when it's calm, until I have fixed my eyes on my Savior's face, only then will I find peace and satisfaction.

He has dreams and purpose for you too.  

God says in Jeremiah 29:11,  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Focus on the One that truly loves You.  Only He knows the Way.  Only He is the Truth.  And only in Him will we find a satisfying life!
