Shannon Redmon taught herself how to draw with help from her husband's friend, Bill Murray of PA. He made her draw an egg in a pillowcase so many times, she never thought she would be able to draw anything else. Finally, she was promoted and she thanks Bill to this day for being persistant in his instruction.
While surfing the web, Shannon came across another graphite artist's work that blew her away. Brian Duey,
www.dueysdrawings.com, inspired her not just to draw the person but to make them look as life-like as possible. Dueys artistic hero, another amazing graphite artist, Armin Mersmann, makes each drawing look like a photograph taken with a camera.
Works by Claude Monet and Leonardo Di Vinci intrigue Shannon, as well as Renaissance Art.
Shannon lives with her husband of 15 years and two boys in Asheville, NC where she enjoys hiking, drama, and serving at Biltmore Baptist church.
